Nubia is getting ready to unveil its
next flagship, the
Z80 Ultra. Just a few days before its official debut, we have some details of this device. The company actually
shared some of the major specs of this device.
Powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, this
model is shaping up to be a serious contender in both image and gaming.
A Camera-Centric Flagship
The Z80 Ultra is designed with
photography at its heart. Nubia has confirmed that the phone will feature a
custom 35 mm “Light and Shadow Master
990” sensor.
This sensor is built to capture rich detail and deliver
pro-level clarity in every shot. It’s joined by an 18 mm ultra-wide lens
and a 15 cm telephoto camera.
This triple camera setup is formed to cover wide, standard, and zoom
perspectives.
According to Nubia, this hardware is
powered by advanced AI photography
tools that help fine-tune lighting, depth, and tone. The company is also
offering a dedicated photography kit.
This kit will be good for users who want a more professional
shooting experience.
Display and Design
The Z80 Ultra has a 6.85-inch X10 screen that's great
for everything from gaming to just watching videos. It has a super-smooth 144
Hz refresh rate and uses 2592 Hz
PWM dimming. This means that the screen will be easier on your eyes.
As for the
phone itself, it feels solid, looks
really sleek, and you can tell it’s built well. In addition to its top chip, this device comes with fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
This
enables apps to open quickly, and everything runs effortlessly. Nubia also says it
uses the same gaming engine as the RedMagic 11 Pro. This means this camera
phone can easily double as a serious gaming machine.
This connection hints at
serious gaming potential wrapped in a photography-first design.
Battery and Charging
Powering everything is a large 7200 mAh battery, offering strong
endurance even under heavy use. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging.
This puts the phone among the fastest-charging
flagships currently known. Nubia’s teaser also mentions compatibility with the 160 W Anker Prime charger, available
separately for users who want the best possible speeds.
Nubia will officially launch the Z80
Ultra on October 22, with full
pricing and global release details expected shortly after.
