A few hours ago,
Google officially unveiled its latest flagship series,
Google Pixel 6 series. According to
Nikkei News, Google plans to double its smartphone shipments for the first time. Google has asked suppliers to produce more than 7 million Pixel 6 series smartphones. This number is about twice its smartphone shipments last year. For the Google Pixel 5a smartphones, Google produced five million units. Although these numbers are a breakthrough for Google, they are still far behind Apple's iPhone 13 /Pro series. This year alone, the iPhone 13 series shipments will reach 80 million units. Google's goal is to seize market share from Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi. However, the company will certainly not achieve this with 7 million units. Both the Pixel 6 and
Pixel 6 Pro have two models each. The
Google Pixel 6 has 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB versions which sell for $599 and $699 respectively. The
Google Pixel 6 Pro 12GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB versions sell for $999 and respectively $1099. While the Pixel 6 is available in Stormy Black, Kinda Coral, and Sorta Seafoam colours, the Pro model is available in Stormy Black, Sorta Sunny, and Cloudy White colours. In the U.S., these devices are currently available for pre-orders. The first outright sale will take place on October 28th. While there is no information on the Indian launch, these smartphones will be available in Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
