Does LG's Doubleplay Dual Screen Phone Equal Double Fun?

Generally, we think of "slide phones" as last generation - yesterday's underwear. The LG DoublePlay looks to redefine the slide phone by giving itself dual screens and a split QWERTY keyboard.

Additionally, the DoublePlay will run on Android's 2.3 OS, and has a 5 megapixel camera that can take 720p HD video. That,

to me, sounds just as good as any of the full touch screen phones available. (Save the iPhone 4S/5 and the Google Nexus Prime.)

The LG DoublePlay will launch for the T-Mobile network, which has lately been boasting its unlimited data, calling, and texting plans. (The network? Still not as good as Verizon - the coverage seals the deal.) The top touchscreen on the DoublePlay is 3.5 inches, while the bottom is only 2 inches. What's unique about the bottom screen is that, instead of taking the "DS" approach to things, LG fit the second screen in between the two split QWERTY keyboards. Rumors say that the screens can be used together, but that each screen can be independently helpful.

The Snapdragon CPU has been getting a lot of attention lately, due to its Bug Circus video. The LG DoublePlay will run on a 1 GHZ Snapdragon, which should make the phone extremely efficient. (If you haven't seen the Bug Circus yet, watch it. If you're to lazy to watch it, then you should know that Qualcomm demonstrates the efficiency of the Snapdragon by "charging" it by using bug-generated power.) Overall, I'm definitely looking forward to more specifications being released for the DoublePlay, but the iPhone 5 is interfering with all of my thoughts. When will it be released? The world may never know. Until it's actually released, of course. Am I talking about the iPhone 5 again on an unrelated post? *Mumbles under breath*
