Mediatek’s latest
quad-core MT6582 processor promised to bring high-end performance to
entry-level prices, but we never expected to see a $100
smartphone with scoring 17,000 on
Antutu so soon!
We’ve tried out a number of phones using the new 1.3Ghz quad-core MT6582 chipset namely the Zopo ZP820 and ZP700, and were shocked by the amazing Antutu benchmarks offered by such an affordable device! But that was last week, this week prices have dropped further which performance and remained!
Orientdeal describe their
Orientphone W450 as the “Most Economic Quad Core
Phone” well at $104.21 (that’s international price) they certainly have the right price, but what about hardware?
The distinct Xiaomi Mi2S body is paired up with a 5.4-inch 400 x 854
display, there is a 2 mega-pixel front camera and 8 mega-pixel rear, SD card slot for 32GB cards, dual SIM support, 2200mAh battery
Android 4.2.2 and your usual features like Bluetooth, GPS and WIFI.
Looking over the specs the only cost cutting measure seems to be the TFT display, but for this price it would still make an excellent back up phone, gift etc.
