Samsung may be ready to take phone
privacy to a new level. A fresh leak has shown the screen page for the Galaxy
S26 Ultra, and it points to a smart anti-peek screen mode called Privacy
Display. The leak was shared by
@tarunvats33, a known tipster on X. The
images show a full settings page where users can turn on and tweak the new display
tool. If this is real, the
Galaxy S26 Ultra could be the only model in the S26
line to get it.
A
Screen That Knows When to Hide
The new Privacy Display is not
just a simple on or off tool. It looks much smarter than that. Users can set it
to run in auto mode. This means the phone can choose when to block side views
on its own. There is also a mode that works by type of content. If you open a bank app, the screen dims for people
nearby. This stops others from seeing your text on a bus or at work.
Control
Based on Where You Are
One of the most eye-catching parts
of the leak is the set of trigger rules. The page shows that users may pick
what makes the tool turn on. One rule may be that the phone knows you are in a
public spot. There also seems to be a local or part screen control. This may
let the phone block only part of the screen while the rest stays clear. That
kind of fine-tuned control could make the tool more handy in day-to-day use.
Ultra Model May Get It Alone
There is talk that this Privacy
Display will be for the Ultra model only. Samsung
has not yet shared full details regarding this feature; in fact, it is not even
official but we expect to get more information about this feature in the coming
days. For now, this leak has made one thing clear, the
Galaxy S26 Ultra will
place emphasis on privacy.
