Samsung is developing two smart glasses with very different goals

Samsung is said to be working on two smart glasses under the Galaxy name. Both aim at the same broad market, yet signs point to two very different roles. The model codes alone suggest this is not a simple case of one device sold in two places. Instead, Samsung may be testing how far it can stretch the idea of smart glasses.

One model, marked SM O200P, is linked to the name Galaxy Glasses. Reports say it may carry a twelve megapixel camera with auto focus. That detail hints at a strong focus on image use.
The other model, SM O200J, has also appeared, but with far less detail tied to it. The lack of clear links makes it stand out rather than blend in.
If both were the same device, there would be little reason for two clear codes. This fuels talk that Samsung is shaping two tools for two kinds of users, even if they share a look or core parts.

What the design clues suggest

The most talked about clue is the letter P. Some sources think it points to lenses that change shade in light. If true, that would make the glasses more useful in daily wear, not just as a tech item. It would also match a camera focus, since light control matters for image work.
The J code remains a guess. It could point to a feature set with less focus on image use and more on view or data use. Without firm proof, all such ideas stay in the guess stage. Still, firms rarely add codes without reason, and Samsung is known for careful product lines.
The key point is that both models are said to aim at the same buyers. That means the choice may come down to how people plan to use them, not where they live.

Why caution still matters

Samsung has not shared any clear plan for its next steps in this space. After the launch of its XR headset last year, it made no firm promise on what would follow. Smart glasses remain a hard market, with many past tries falling short.
Rumors often move faster than real plans. Parts appear, codes leak, and hopes grow before a product is ready. Until Samsung speaks, none of this is set.
Still, the signs show interest has not faded. Two models suggest tests, not chance. If Samsung does move ahead, it may do so with care, using these devices to learn what users truly want before a wider push.
