Rockchips RK2918 Tablets To Get Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich

Great news! All of you who have happened to buy a tablet which has a RK2918 processor (or Tegra 2 and Samsung CPU) may well be get a lovely Ice-Cream Sandwich in the coming months!

Rockchips have confirmed the RK2918 cpu found in many Chinese made Android tablets is more than capable of running Android 4.0 and see no reason why tablets currently running Android 2.3 can't be upgraded to Android 4.0.

Of course this means we still have to wait for the various manufacturers to roll out an Ice-cream Sandwich update for our tablets, or for a universal ROM to appear, but the fact is it is likely to happen!
