The ViewSonic ViewPad 10i is another Windows/Android dual-booting tablet

ViewSonic, best known for their wide range of desktop monitors, just announced the ViewSonic ViewPad 10i tablet that runs both Windows and Android.

We've seen renewed interest in Windows based tablets (and Windows/Android dual-boot ones for that matter) in the past few months. Indian maker Micromax announced the LapTab at the CES which does exactly that, and we also saw China's Cube pull off something similar.

The ViewSonic ViewPad 10i comes with a 10-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, and is powered by the Intel Celeron 2910 Bay Train CPU. To complement the processor , there's 2GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage along with a microSD slot for expansion. A 7000mAh battery sits beneath the 10-inch screen, which ViewSonic claims gives 6 hours of runtime. Dual 2 mega-pixel cameras make for the imaging front on the device, along with HDMI, USB ports and WiFi, Bluetooth v4.0 taking control of connectivity.

The ViewPad 10i boots Android v4.2 Jelly Bean and Windows 8 out of the box, offering high levels of flexibility. It can be bought for about $500 on online shopping portals.
