Another day, another round of
leaked specs for the
Samsung Galaxy S5. The next gen
Galaxy S series
device, which is expected to be
launched during the MWC this year might just packs some internals making the
Vivo Xplay 3S look small (in stature, not size).
Earlier today, various outlets from around the globe reported about the press event invites that Samsung had issued. Unsurprisingly, the invited read 'Unpacked5', and 'Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 1', most probably referring to the first flagship launch this year. This can perhaps only be the Samsung Galaxy S5, unless the Korean giant has a trick up its sleeve.
Eldar Murtazin is someone who's now believed to be a respected source for inside stories. The popular Russian blogger claims to have information on exact specifications of the
Galaxy S5, and we're all ears. He says that the
Galaxy S5 will come with a 5.24-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel (Super) AMOLED screen, 3GB RAM, 3.2 mega-pixel front
camera, 16 mega-pixel rear
camera and a 3200mAh battery. He vaguely mentioned 'Exynos 6 (series) or Snapdragon 805' as the device's processor.
Its not clear if he meant there will be
either of them or the
device will have different variants sporting the different processors. However, the
specs Murtazin mentions do go hand in hand with
what we reported earlier. Given that Samsung do launch the
device with the mentioned specs, it'll make the
device the first globally available to feature a 1440p
display, outdoing the Xplay 3S (China only) which is still tough to get hold of.
Word going round also suggests that the an 'S Band' bracelet will be launched alongside the device. Its no secret that the Galaxy Gear smartwatch didn't do too well; perhaps the S Band is Samsung's disaster management team speaking.
