We get that some people love the look of a Mac but enjoy the freedom of running Android applications, that’s why we wrote this Bluestacks Android apps on Mac how to, but for those of you who want to fully immerse yourself in Android while still getting Mac design this fake Macbook Air is for you!

Originally spotted by Engadget at the recent Computex digital trade show, this fake Macbook Air is one of the best looking Mac knock off’s we have seen to date!

Not only does this clone boast a super slim alloy body and magsafe battery charger just like a real Macbook Air, but it manages to do so at a fraction of the real Air’s recommended selling price!

Gizchina News of the week

For only $150 you could be sat at the local coffee shop with what is essentially the ultimate Apple Android mashup this side of the fabulous GooApple phones!

Under the alloy body and 13.3 inch screen this fake Android ICS running MBA boasts a nippy 1 .2GHz  Cortex A8 CPU, 1GB RAM, 8G storage, 4000mAh battery, WIFI, USB port, SD card slot, HDMI output and the feathery weight of just 1.55KG !

Judging by the photos there is also a full size track pad for you to use while navigation through the Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich OS, and also a webcam built in just above the screen.

Looking closely at the photos here you can see that the edges of this knock off Android Air look a little ragged and possibly even sharp! However for such a low price we would expect as much!

I saw one today here in Harbin and was just like “wow, that is convincing!” (of course it wasn’t turned on so you could see the software differences though).

They do look fantastic, but I’m not sold on the idea of using Android without a touchscreen. Did you manage to get a go of it? What did you think?
