Mogu M2 MT6577 Dual-core Gaming Demo

The Mogu M2 (Mushroom M2) is still in the testing phase but looks like it is pretty much ready for production and to begin shipping, and if this gaming demo is anything to go buy this is going to be one powerful MT6577 dual-core phone!

The Mogu M2, is the successor to the popular Mogu M1 phone which found a lot of fans earlier this year when launched. As you would expect the Mogu M2 boasts a few updates most notably the inclusion of a MediaTek MT6577 dual-core CPU for enhanced performance!

Along with the dual-core CPU Shenzhen Sheng Vally LTD, the company behind the Mogu brand, have also equipped their latest Android smartphone with 1GB RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, and SD card reader to store additional apps and media.

Gizchina News of the week

The Mogu M2 is aiming it’s sights on the low-cost end of the Chinese smartphone market and will be going up against phones such as the JiaYu G2 dual-core and Zopo ZP500+ Libero and as such gets a 5 mega-pixel rear camera and only a 0.3 mega-pixel front unit, but where it lacks in camera performance it more than makes up in gaming capability and price.

Below we have a video of an engineering version of the Mogu M2 running Asphalt 2, the video lasts about 3 minutes and you might want to skip parts (unless you really want to see it all), but from what the video shows the Mogu M2 looks to be  a very competent gaming phone which is a surprise considering the price!

There are no set dates for the Mogu M2 launch date, but what we do know is that once launched this dual-core phone is going on sale for just $100!

I’ll bring you more details as I get them.

    @Broli, you’re quite right.

    I’ve made up my mind to stop worrying and waiting for one of these phones, and just go for something real.
