JiaYu’s newest phone, the JiaYu G4 must be getting nearer to a release date, as more specifications and images of the new quad-corephone have just arrived.
The latest specifications for the JiaYu G4 claim the new phone will get a larger 4.7 inch display with the same 1280 x 720 resolution as the current G3. However, JiaYu are aiming to make the G4 thinner than and are rumoured to be using an OGSdisplay which incorporates the touch sensors and screen in to a more compact unit.

It is also rumoured that there will be 2 versions of the JiaYu G4 available at launch. A thinner 8.2mm version with an 1800mAh battery and a thicker 10mm model with a much longer lasting 3000mAhbattery.
The rest of the specification includes either an 8 or 10 mega-pixel main camera, WiFi, FM radio, GPS, Bluetooth and of course the latest Mediatek MT6589 quad-core CPU.
Really? 2 versions?
Why would they do that, if they just delivered the ‘standard’ with 1800 mAh and make the 3000 mAh (with backcover) as an replaceable/exchangeable pack (so you could buy it as an upgrade or an ‘accessory’).
Or will there be any other differences between the 2 versions beside the battery?
it would cost the customer more paying for the standard phone and then a 3000 mah battery, we would be buying 2 batteries instead of 1. 2 model is definitely better.
