If you don’t live in China, you may not know that the country is preparing for the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) festivities, and that around this time each year companies offer shoppers some stunning deals such as this Konka phone and TV package for just $370!

Konka are a rather large electronics maker here in China and are known for their low-cost TV’s, smartphones, DVD players etc. They have also recently decided to head in to the international market with their latest Konka W970 which features Konka’s own “I-SPORT Sports HD imaging technology” imaging software and “platinum crystal screen display” for $256.

    what’s so good deal about this? the phone has worse specifications than my Amoi N820 which cost less than 950RMB now (1GB RAM vs 512MB at Konka) and 1350RMB for 32″ TV doesn’t sound like some spectacular dealbreaker (not mentioning that phones with only half gig RAM cost even less than I stated)

    so yes, you can get crappy phone with low RAM together with crappy small TV (who buys 32″ anymore?) in great crappy combo…
