Rumor: TCL to release Y900 and P600 MT6589 quad-core phones on 20th January

The race is between Chinese phone manufacturers to see who can get their next generation quad-core MT6589 phones on the market first, and it is starting to look like TCL will win.

TCL have been showing off specifications of their new TCL Y900 and TCL P600 phones for weeks, but the company hasn't been forthcoming with firm launch dates for the MT6589 phones.

But if rumours are correct, both phones could go on sale along with the super thin TCL S850 and S520 on the 20th January!

However if this news is true it might not necessary mean TCL will be the first to market, as local rival Ginoee are set to unveil their quad-core phones later today, and might surprise us with an early launch date too!
