JiaYu pricing for thick and thin JiaYu G4 plus quad-core G3!

JiaYu have finally made an announcement on pricing for the quad-core JiaYu G4 and updated MT6589 version of the G3.

Although the full specification for the JiaYu G4 Premium and Youth have been known for months, JiaYu have been coy with the pricing details with just hints that the phones will start at around the 999 Yuan ($160) mark for Chinese customers.

JiaYu have announced today that pricing will in fact start at a slightly lower 949 Yuan ($152) for the 1GB Youth model with 1850mAh battery, rising to 999 Yuan ($160) for the 10mm thick model with larger 3000mAh battery.

Gizchina News of the week

The quad-core JiaYu G3 which will go on sale mid April and offers very similar features to the Youth G4 will cost just 839 Yuan ($135).

Those of you who are after the Premium 2GB RAM version of the JiaYu G4 are going to have to wait a little longer for price details. We also will have to wait and see what international resellers are going to be charging for the new G4 and G3 phones.

      mannie,
      Jiayu never said that!
      There are many versions – (Standard Edition + High Edition) x (1850mAh+3000mAh) x (black+white) = 8 versions πŸ™‚

Andi, “The quad-core JiaYu G3… will cost just 839 Yuan ($135)”

Jiayu doesn’t say about the price of NEW JiaYu G3. 839 Yuan ($135) – is likely the price of OLD JiaYu G3 (MT6577).

      In addition, on April 20 Jiayu promises to provide “live phones” – G4, G5, G6, S1, S2(!) !

I’m sorry but OLD Jiayu G3 is dual core so if the price they are showing is for quad core Jiayu G3 then it must be for the NEW Jiayu G3

          Norman Zakaria,
I repeat once again (imho): Jiayu did not say that it was the price for a quad-core G3.

Dude, did u even go to the Official Chinese Jiayu Forum? They said that the Jiayu G3 quad core version will be listed for 839 Yuan while the dual core version will be discontinued. I’m telling u this price is for the NEW Jiayu G3.

JiaYu are desperate to keep the soup warm and not lose some possible buyers because of their neverending delays.
After the USB-OTG support now the offered the good prices.
I am afraid they will finish all ideas to keep the people interest until… june (?) when maybe they will releasing the… G3 (?) or the G4(?)?
I like they are so inventive. Is something like a cheating husband or cheating wife with so many “good” ideas. πŸ˜‰

    Hello Andi,

Hope you reply. I am really tired of waiting for my favorite quadcore phones. Now I want your expert advice. If you were to choose between G4 and ZTE V987, which one will you pick? Please help. I’ve seen camera samples of V987 and it”s really cool as it’s BSI and has HDR feature.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to install Google Play on these phones. I was under the impression that you get no Google Apps on Chinese phones.

    Hi Andi,

From where to find informations of WCDMA frequencies? There is no informations on Jiayu website. Could You help me? Need WCDMA 900/2100Mhz.

    • Jan M
      April 30, 2013

900 / 2100 is the frequency used in China, so it would be commercial suicide by Jiayu NOT to support those bands πŸ˜‰

I could not find any operator in China who is using 900Mhz 3G frequency and in Hong Kong there is only one operator (Hutchison (HK) Ltd 3), who is using 900Mhz 3G frequency. I think that it is not normal 3G frequency in Chinese phones! You can check it here: http://maps.mobileworldlive.com/
