Vivo Y15 joins the quad-core MT6582 TD-SCDMA pack

The stylish Vivo Y15 is the latest smarpthone to launch exclusively on China Mobiles TD-SCDMA 3G network sporting the latest 1.3Ghz quad-core MT6582 processor.

Being a Vivo phone the Y15 is aimed at the higher end of the market and costs nearly double that of over TD-SCDMA only phones we have written about in the past. However, being a Vivo phone does offer some benefits aside from a stylish 2-tone design! The Y15 is being marketed as a ‘self timer’ phone, so like the Oppo Ulike 2 this new device has advanced image processing hardware and software to make those self-portraits even more special.

Gizchina News of the week

Costing just 1500 Yuan the Vivo packs a modest 2 mega-pixel camera, but with an F2.4 aperture and 88 degree wide angle lens it will offer a better image than most. There are also built in software features for adding a watermark, text or creating your very own meme. There is also a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1GB RAM, 4GB memory and dual-sim support.
