Octacore Infocus M320m will costs less than the CoolPad F1

If you thought that the octacore CoolPad F1 was a bargain at just 888 Yuan, just take a look at what InfocusĀ have planned with the 799 Yuan M320m.

Gizchina News of the week

Manufactured by Foxconn, the InfocusĀ range of phones have been quietly creeping up on the radar now and then due to their low pricing and high specifications. The Infocus M320m will continue this trend as an entry-level phone with mid-range hardware. At the top of the list is the 1.7Ghz MT6592 octacore processor, with 2GB RAM, then there is the 5.5-inch 720p display, and finally 13 mega-pixel rear and 5 mega-pixel front cameras.

The design of the phone looks similar to the Snapdragon 600 Infocus we reported on yesterday.

Oh yea and then its gonna be for TD-SCDMA …. So whats the point in the 799 Yuan price tag? Makes absolutely no sense to me if we international costumers cant get these great prices of worse still, no WCDMA version albeit a little more expensive.

Agree, if Chinese companies do want to get any business in the rest of the world they need to start supporting WCDMA

Maybe The point is that this price would never be possible without the subsidy they receive from the partnership with China Mobile?

The point of the 799 price tag is to serve their own domestic market. Why should they always be catering to international buyers? Of course they should focus on their own market first. WCDMA will always come later, and I see no problem in that.
