Xiaomi Mi3 arrives in India for testing

We already know that Xiaomi are heading to India sometime in the future, the wait could be shorter than expected though as the Mi3 has turned up in the country for testing.

Hugo Barra had already made it clear that Xiaomi are looking at India as a possible market and even visited the country to meet MIUI India founders last month. No official date has been announced for Xiaomi’s entry in to the Indian smartphone market, however Gadgethouse are reporting that an Mi3 has arrived in India for testing purposes.

Gizchina News of the week

The base model of the Mi3 with 16GB memory has been sent for testing purposes (interestingly from the United States). The phone features a 2.3Ghz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and 13 megapixel main camera all wrapped up in an alloy body.

In addition to India, it has also been rumoured that Xiaomi Malaysia will soon be opening its doors.

Good for Indian Mobile Users, some real competition should be generated for the Monopolists like Samsung and also for mobile packers like Micromax et. al.
