2GB Meizu m1 spotted at TENAA

The launch of the Meizu m1 had a few good and bad surprises, the bad being just 1GB RAM (and no current international network support), but at least Meizu have addressed one of these issues.

Meizu were a little unlucky with the release of the Meizu m1, everything was going their way until just a few days before the m1 release date Xiaomi revealed a 2GB RAM version of the Xiaomi Redmi 2. It was crafty move by Xiaomi, and it’s just as well they did it as Meizu went out of their way to beat the Xiaomi Redmi 2 spec for spec even going so far as to opting for a slightly higher resolution HD display!

Gizchina News of the week

It was obvious at the time of launch that Meizu were a bit unlucky, but they have wasted anytime catching up as a 2GB RAM version of the Meizu m1 was spotted in TENAA for network approval yesterday.

For a low-cost phone the Meizu m1 is now packing some serious hardware from a 64bit processor, 2500mAh battery, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 128GB SD support and now the option for 2GB RAM! All  we are waiting for now is a China Unicom FDD-LTE model and international Meizu fans will be able to enjoy this budge phone too.

Yeap. Pretty much that’s why they “have addressed one of these issues”. Monkey see, monkey do. Sorry, no banana for scale!

I own a Mi3, its call quality leaves nothing more to be desired for me. I also do own/have owned flagships from the brands you have mentioned.

This is a nice looking phone at a good price point. Too bad that the customers who purchased the 1GB version got screwed. However, these flash sales are just a way of propping up demand for handsets.
