No.1 are back with another smartwatch. The Sun S2 comes in a more traditional metal watch body with a similar Moto 360 type display.

Love them or hate them, smartwatches do seem to be here to stay and Chinese company No.1 are among the many phone makers taking the leap in to the genre. In the past No.1 have release wearables, but the new S2 Sun is their more ambitious yet and their first to use a round display.

The 44mm stainless steel body houses an LCD touch display, heart rate monitor, simple 1.3 mega-pixel camera, 350mAh battery, Bluetooth and Mediatek MT6290. Like most wearables, the S2 Sun needs to be connected to a compatible smart phone to get the most of the features available.

Very poor on the software front though…

Looks like they’ve used standard rectangular watch os on it as its cropped quite often in the corners?

Why do they even bother wasting space and money putting a rubbish 1.3mp camera? It’s a smart watch that needs a mobile to get the most out of it and since that has a camera anyway you wouldn’t use the one on the watch, They could even use the camera sensor space to put a bigger battery in.

Just got mine – loved the round design…but poor quality – bottom quarter of screen doesn’t even light up. Makes those snazzy Rolex displays look horrible when you can’t view a 6. Heart monitor doesn’t work, pedometer is fake and just a stop watch….you get what you pay for and it’s from China – don’t expect much. and yes – Bluetooth is horrible – constantly drops unless ON TOP of your phone.
