Bluboo say that their Bluboo Xtouch (the new name for the X500) is “probably the best 5-inch smartphone so far!”.
Bluboo have released a short intro video of their new Bluboo Xtouch along with an email stating that they believe it to be “probably the best 5-inch smartphone so far!”. We don’t know if their claim is valid yet, but from the video the design and build looks to be headed in the right direction.
Gizchina News of the week
What we see in this intro of the Xtouch is a phone with similar alloy chassis and curved rear glass styling to the 5.7-inch Xiaomi Mi Note. If Bluboo have indeed managed to take what Xiaomi did with the Mi Note and recreate it with a 5-inch display then I am sure many of us are going to be listening intently.
Bluboo are keeping us in the dark in regards to the full specifications, but they have revelled that the front panel will feature a fingerprint scanner and similar features to Lenovo’s ZUK Z1.
More Bluboo Xtouch news as we get it.

Pretty slick marketing and looks the goods. Will be very popular if they get the specs right at 5-inch. Definitely one to watch..
The 5 inch market is a much needed phone. People want it more than 5.5 inch.
I totally agree!!
Something that’s a real disappointment of this phone is the fact that it measures a 153 mm in height. That’s the size of a phablet!
Anyway, there always seams to be be an issue with any other ‘decent’ 5″ phone:
– Xiaomi Mi4 – no expandable storage, no support for FDD-4G B20 (800MHz) network
– Xiaomi Mi4i – heating issues, limited languages supported, no support for FDD-4G B20 (800MHz) network
– iOcean X7 – tiny (2100MAh) battery (I’ll wait for the first in depth review)
– Lenovo X Shot – bloated rom, limited languages supported
– Elephone P3000S (I currenly own this one) – poor building quality, not living up to (acclaimed) expectations
But than again, I do agree with you. I do not know many people who actually like a phone that doesn’t fit in their pocket.
it doesn’t measure 153mm. and i don’t know where you got the news from. maybe kimovil? or any shop that lists it already?
there’s absolutely no info out there except the ram chip and panelsize. so ALL of the other specs are either downright false or just speculation. a 5 inch phone will never be that big, ever! i think i have seen rugged phones with 5 inch that are smaller. 😉
most of the 5.5 inch phones are smaller than that. so don’t trust any specs as long as they aren’t confirmed. and size is not confirmed as of yet.
Yes, it is too big, we dont have real specifications, we indicate that it is a rumor.
thank you for your answer. didn’t expect that. you might want to tone it down a bit tho, at least to 145mm or such.
but as you correctly said, it is all rumors.
i hope to see all of the confirmed specs by the end of next week and the phone for presell by the end of this or next month at latest. i’m so hyped!!!
and thank you so much kimovil for making searching for phones a lot easier!
Yes,147mm is more a realistic size (i have changed it) . We took specification from dealsmachine, but obviously are incorrect. Thanks, we try having more real data, but it´s a hard work with some brands…
i know, but i appreciate your efforts! keep up the good work! makes me wanna work for you… XD
you might also want to change the camera specs as they’re known already. and add the “Pro” version of it.
here’s the specs:

i heard there are even games that look even better on 24 inch? what about phones with that panel? oh, and make 720p, so battery doesn’t need to be that big. i don’t want my 24″ phone to be thicker than 8mm…
thanks and thanks… i supose.
