Bluboo Xtouch fingerprint scanner compared with iPhone 6 and OP2

Bluboo pit the Bluboo Xtouch against the iPhone 6 and OnePlus 2 in fingerprint unlock speed and accuracy test.

We’ve heard a lot about the Bluboo Xtouch, and if we hadn’t just learned our test sample is on the way we would begin to wonder if this was just vapourware. The Xtouch is Bluboo’s top of the range device and will see the company in to the new year.

At $179.99 the phone features some impressive hardware specs including a 5-inch FHD JDI display, 13 mega-pixel Sony IMX214, OIS (according to the latest email blast from the company), 3GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel F2.0 main camera and 8 mega-pixel front camera. It’s all top notch stuff, finished off nicely with a large 3080mAh battery and front fingerprint scanner.

Gizchina News of the week

The fingerprint scanner on the Bluboo Xtouch is similar in design to the unit found on the OnePlus 2, and to show how fast and accurate it is the Bluboo team recorded the above video. In the video we get to see the Xtouch compete with the iPhone 6 and OnePlus 2 in a speed and accuracy showdown. While each phone offers fast 360 degree fingerprint recognition the Xtouch does seems to be a fraction faster than the iPhone, and notably quicker than the OP2.

So now we have seen the Xtouch in another video and know all the details about this budget flagship all there is left to do is review it, and that could start as soon as next week. Keep posted for hands on Bluboo Xtouch news coming soon.

No SD is a pain, I agree.

It’s hard to consider it as a flagship phone when it sports the MTK6753. It falls behinds other flagships phones with the X10 or 810/801 ETC.
The 5inch, fingerprint and overall specs of the device make me want to buy it but then again the weak processor…
    Pity they didn’t do so.

They have also said in the past a Pro version with Helio chip will launch, but news on that is strangely quiet

Yes but isn’t the PRO version with 5.5inch display? The 5inch for me is perfect.

By the way Andi, I know you’re a big fan of Vivo, do you think the xshot still relevant? I have an opportunity to buy it (3GB/32GB). I’m sorry it’s not related but I just had to ask you.

The pro version is also expected to be with a 5 inches display. Only differences are the soc, ram and camera. 🙂

Still the same huge black frame. Waittill you see the first white xtouch powered on in a video. This really bothers me. I thought it to be the perfect phone for me and my gf but she wants it in white and that would look horrifying… Damn it.

i fear not, why would they? they don’t change the screen, just the ram, soc and camera. sadly…

this phone has me all hiped up i´m on a budget but i do want a phone to run without heating i thinki can sacrifice some speed over battery time and the device not getting to warm… my other option would be the LeTv le 1s, but i´m not good flashing sfuff and it claim to come in chinesse wich i don´t read or understand and a bit more expensive too. so i desperately want you guys to give it a nice review and come up with was is bad about it so i can make my maind.

i’ll have to disappoint some of you… 🙁 the oh so clean and beautiful design is destroyed by a huge black frame inside the also existing bezels.

to prove it, just watch the hands-on review from antelife:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NvY1WA1FeU

just watch closely when he shows some sample pictures on the screen and flicks them away.

This phone would be almost perfect if there is not these black borders, i don’t know why builders do that, and trying to lie to customers by applying a black wallpapers on the phone…

they’re the same as most other phones. could be less but they’re not that huge

        November 18, 2015

well, the normal, “real” bezels are like those of other phones, but there seem to be additional “elephone-bezels” between the actual screen and the real ones.
