First real pics of Vernee Apollo

The wait is finally over! Vernee played hard to get for quite some time and just kept sending new about the Thor model, but finally we have in hand first pics of the flagship Vernee Apollo.

We even got some pretty decent news about the design of the phone, because seems like Apollo will have full metal body and the back should be from titanium alloy and just 2 mm thin.

Thats indeed pretty rad news but lets sum up the previously known specs of Vernee Apollo. 2K resolution 5.5-inch display, Mediatek Helio X20 with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, rear 21 Mpix cam with Sony IMX230 sensor and 8 Mpix selfie front cam. Allegedly also 3D Force Touch, USB Type-C port and fingerprint scanner.

Gizchina News of the week

Let’s get back to the full metal body of the phone. Vernee claims that the back cover will be harder and tougher than its normal with usual metal alloys. That’s not really surprising, because titanium itself is extremely hard and resistant to corrosion even in saltwater and is common ingredient in many anti-corrosion alloys. The only problem is that it’s very pricy and that leaves a question mark if Vernee really used titanium alloy for the Apollo back cover. because the first price estimation is in the ballpark of 399.99$.

No matter what, you can check out the first pics of Vernee Apollo and see for yourself the back of the phone with the alleged titanium alloy cover.

Hopefully the front is not with huge bezels and/or huge black bands. And ofc no white plastic on the front, that just doesn’t work with a titanium back.

I’m intrigued as the new P9 looks like having bigger than average black bezels all around… I don’t know, but a bit of a simple on a $650+ phone.

Like ur comment mate. Tired of “inspired by Apple” comment that people make at every phone that looks apple-ish/HTCish.

Every phone that comes out now the Pro Apple Media and the iSheep proclaim it to be a clone of the iPhone. Even the new Meizu Pro 6 that looks nothing like any of Apple’s models.

I can only hope that they won’t cut back the 6gbRam as it was the biggest attention draw it had. If they don’t perform as said in this aspect then they are off my book. Better options elsewhere (none perfect, nonetheless) and yes ZOPO I’m looking at you.

That’s up to Zopo to actually send a review unit. I think they are the ones neglecting it at the moment. So far Andi’s first experience with Speed 8 wasn’t good, so far it will be a big disappointment considering the price.

Not reviewers’ fault, nor zopo’s to be fair: they clearly said that the unit at the stand back than was more of a dummy than anything else, and that the actual product will be shipped in april/may… People thought “they launched the phone in January, so it will be shipped soon after”, but it was never stated anywhere!

With Android reaching a point where almost all needed or missing features are being offered in one way or another, like going after a launcher in GooGle Play store,
…I think it is safe to say that regarding to FLAGSHIP phones this year they NEED TO shine in every aspect to succeed in important way.

I mean past usual flagships now have had to bring all bells and whistles possible in order to capture market share. I’m pretty sure even the next IPhone will bring a bunch of stuff to lure even further their isheeps (sorry I had to add the joke, iphones are good in my books)

So as I said before all new comers should take advice: 2 models a track phone (Thor) and a. Flagship, in this case this APOLLO…

…And then this FLAGSHIPS have to be by all means FLAGSHIPS, ALL IN FEATURED.

That kept Meizu pro 6 from being a off the door success failing the battery size (on paper) and the NOW, supposedly, possible 6gbRAM, and maybe offering sapphire lenses for the camera. Those 3 could have added $50 dollars to the final price, but I think it would have secured major success …
