Just wondering if MTK 6580 will work well with GPS?

For MTK phones you can to download MobileUncle Tools and some EPO files but servers are not available these days, so alternate server needed or offline epo files. Even then gPS will be slow (30 minuts to lock), and no lock indoors.

For good Gps avoid MTK friend.

We have heard a real Qualcomm fan here. Maybe go after som e information before saying such stupid things. From MT67xx series MTK is no more behind Qualcomm. MT6580 is not the best at GPS front, but other components like antenny or IC’s are very important too. So not only the SoC’s problem if the GPS is not good enough.

It is only about the antenna. The chipset has nothing to do with GPS precision or time to fix. Of course EPO can help if you don’t have data access. But you don’t really need it. It will take one minute instead od 20s to get fix. That’s all.

But I would be afraid if the antenna in a smart watch is good. Somebody has to test it.

At least a real Android Wear device, even cheaper than Huami fitwatch.
