Almost every company that comes out with a ‘rugged’ phone does an ‘extreme’ test or two of its own. It’s usually pretty basic stuff, but Ulefone seem a little optimistic about their rugged phone — the Ulefone Armor.
The reason I’m saying this is because their latest extreme test — that of putting the smartphone in concrete! Yes, you read that right — Ulefone just put their phone in a mixture of cement and water!
Watch the video right below. Excuse the cheesy nature of the video though…
It’s worth noting that Ulefone stresses on fastening the SIM slot and USB port before performing such tests at home, if there’s any chance you will.
The Armor comes with a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720p display, a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, a 13 mega-pixel main camera, 3500mAh battery, NFC and more. As for the pricing of this IP68 smartphone, it’ll go on sale for $199.99. However, pre-sale buyers can avail the phone with a $40 discount. More info on the Ulefone website.
