We have informed about the new Oukitel device right off the bat during the first days of 2017 and now we can finally provide more specifications for this Oukitel C5 Pro. So a bit more than just information about display toughness like the last time, but of course we can repeat that too, because the phone should be one tough cookie featuring glass with 9H hardness capable to withstand up to 800 MPa of pressure.

So today we fill in the blanks with some more hardware specs and more importantly info about the starting presales, because the device will be available starting today for just $69.99 until January 17th.

Gizchina News of the week

So what’s inside this budget tough guy ? Well for starters 5-inch display with HD resolution, 2.5D curve and the aforementioned resistant glass. Then quad-core MT6737 processor clocked at 1,3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, dual SIM, LTE on bans 1/3/7/20, 5 Mpix main camera interpolated to 8 Mpix, front 2 Mpix camera interpolated to 5 Mpix, 2000 mAh battery capacity and interesting printed back cover design. Oukitel C5 Pro has Android 6.0 OS out of the box, but it should be upgraded to Nougat in March.

It’s without a question a budget phone, but for such price it could be an interesting option. You can find more information about Oukitel C5 Pro in here and in this link you can find the list of authorized resellers.

Serious? 2000mAh for maybe a half day runtime? I think Homtom HT 16 PRO with the same specs and a 3000mAh Battery (69 USD on presale last year) or Doogee X5 Max Pro (4000mAh plus Fingerprint, 75 USD on presale last year) would have been a better deal. Iam also not sure if Android 7 (Nougat) is possible as I heard that GPU of the MT6737 does not meet the Android 7 graphical needs (Vulkan API) because of non existing drivers.
