Three months ago, the MIUI 9 Developer ROM was released and this is now the biggest update since the MIUI 9 Stable ROM. It was available via OTA for a few devices but is now available for over 18 devices.
The MIUI 9 China ROM update is available for the Mi6, Mi Max 2, Mi Note 3, Mi Note 2, Mi 5X, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 5A Prime, Mi 5S, Mi 5C, Mi 5, Mi Mix, Mi 5S Plus, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X, Mi Mix 2, Mi Note Pro, Mi 4S, Mi 4C. The ROM is available on MIUI official site of you wish to manually flash it.

The MIUI 9 ROM brings about a myriad of changes making it an essential update for the Xiaomi smartphones. With Xiaomi taking the lead in the Indian market in smartphone sales and popularity along with it being second only to Apple in the wearable department, Xiaomi doesn’t seem to have any plans of slowing down. MIUI 9 is based on the Android Nougat 7.0 version with the Android Oreo in tow. MIUI comes with a myriad of features that make the user experience a delight. MIUI based on Oreo is yet to be announced, but expect it to hit smartphones by next year.
