From our last week poll, a whopping 76% of voters prefer to go for a damn new phone which they will unbox themselves while 14% says its complicated and their decision will be based on the smartphone.
Today, we have another interesting topic and we will want to know exactly what you think. Battery Capacity Vs Phone Thickness: Which Will You Sacrifice?. A lot of phone users do not really know that there is a relationship between battery capacity and phone thickness. Please note that when we talk of battery capacity, we are talking about how much mAh the battery holds. This is quite different from battery performance which not only depends on the battery’s mAh but also on the user’s screen time, processor, operating system and so on.
Most people crave for a super-slim phone which will be able to last all day long even if they spend the day gaming but this is like eating your cake and having it. Generally, the more the mAh of the battery, the thicker the smartphone (this is mostly true when the difference between the battery capacity is enormous). Not many manufacturers make smartphones with more than 4000 mAh, in fact, most of the “first class” manufacturers don’t exceed 4000 mAh often but a couple of “second class” manufacturers like Ulefone and Bluboo are known for releasing smartphones with battery capacity as high as 9000 mAh.
Gizchina News of the week
For instance, Bluboo has released two smartphones this year – the Bluboo S3 and Bluboo D5 Pro. The S3 comes with an 8500 mAh battery and it is 11.6mm thick (weighs 280 grams) while the D5 Pro comes with a 2700 mAh battery and its 8mm thick (weighs 150 grams). There is also the tendency that the weight increases as the battery capacity increases. So which will you sacrifice? Will you rather have a slim smartphone with average battery (3000 mAh – 4000 mAh) or are you willing to accept a few millimeters more thickness for a huge battery capacity (6000 mAh and above)? Cast your vote in the poll below, and if there is anything you need to add, let us know in the comments.
