The Galaxy Note 9 is due to be unveiled precisely on Agust 9 at a dedicated event in the York City of US, so we’re probably going to see more leaks pertaining to the device in the coming weeks. While it is now almost certain the device won’t get the in-display fingerprint sensor, a newly leaked case renders of the upcoming Note 9 which emanated from China just recently suggest the device could come with an extra physical button on the frame of the device, which is speculated to be both a shutter button and a screenshot key.
However, well-known leaker Ice universe seems to have dispelled such rumors backing his claim with a new case render which reveals the actual use of the cutout meant for the purported extra button.
Ice Universe in a twitter post shared this morning revealed a couple of Galaxy Note 9 protective case which appears to be made of plastic. The leaked cases reveal a protective case with a slight bump with holes for a lanyard.
In essence, the Galaxy Note 9 ain’t getting no extra button for selfies or what so ever, instead Samsung will stick with the usual volume rocker, power key, and the controversial Bixby button that will have access to the updated version of the assistant upon launch in August.
A lot has been rumored about the Note 9, more recently, the device was rumored to come with a larger a 4,000mAh battery, with fast charging. More leaks here.
Note9 There is no button in this position. There are two holes in this position on the protective case for the lanyard. Many mobile phone cases have such holes. It may be that Samsung is too lacking in change to make people think that it has A button exists, hahaha. pic.twitter.com/NPAUBcBFuu
