Currently, there are three smartphone lines coming our way from OPPO. The latter, which leads the Chinese smartphone market according to the latest data, offers products with A, R, and Find prepositions. If the A means we are dealing with a budget phone, the R means it is a flagship. As for the Find series, it can be treated as an experimental line. Well, we knew there will be a new flagship carrying the letter R. Today, the alleged OPPO R17 leaked on spy photos, showcasing completely changed design when comparing to the current R15 models.
Though the OPPO R17 doesn’t sport a ‘new’ design, many netizens have managed to praise it. Of course, in comparison to the OPPO R15 smartphones, this model has a narrower notch, carrying the camera sensor only. But agree we have seen it on various smartphones such as the SHARP AQUOS S3 Mini / R2. Moreover, the upcoming Nubia Z18 is assumed to sport an identical design as well. So we should state the OPPO R17’s design won’t be innovative.

At the same time, the OPPO R17 uses so-called ‘beauty tip’ design, which enlarges the screen ratio. Of course, it can’t reach the screen share of the OPPO Find X, but it still will be among the highest screen ratio smartphones.
As for configuration, it’s said the OPPO R17 will be packed with a Snapdragon 710 chip, a 10GB of RAM (!!!), and continue R series’ excellent camera performance. Previously, this handset was said to pass TENAA. So if believing in that news, the R17 will also sport a 6.3-inch screen, a 3415mAh battery, and so on.
Actually, all these features have not been confirmed officially yet. But the fact the OPPO R17 has become a buzzword hints at its upcoming launch.
