Recently, IDC released the report on the smart home market in India in the second quarter of 2018. The report pointed out that Xiaomi made its debut in the Indian smart TV market in the first quarter of this year, and its shipments in the second quarter tripled, becoming the first brand of smart TV in this market. It is reported that in the past six months, Xiaomi Mi TV has sold more than 500,000 units in India.

On February 14 this year, Xiaomi TV officially landed in India, the first model was the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 55 inches, with a very thin body of 4.9mm, equipped with a quad-core processor, and coming with a PatchWall voice AI system. At the same time, the pricing continues to be cost-effective. Particularly, this model sells for 39,999 Rupees ($542). We have also to note this is the first time that Xiaomi Mi TV has entered the overseas market.

They include the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 PRO 55 inches, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4A PRO 55 inches, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4C PRO 32 inches, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 43 inches, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 32 inches, etc. All these models follow the company’s cost-effective strategy.

On August 22, Xiaomi announced its first financial report since its listing. And we learned Xiaomi Smart TV became the first brand in China in the second quarter of 2018. In February 2018, Xiaomi launched smart TV in India and quickly achieved significant market share. As of the second quarter of 2018, the global sales of Xiaomi Smart TV increased by more than 350%. What’s more important, this trend is not going to stop.
