In recent times, a number of Sony Xperia smartphones have been certified at ECC and are expected to be unveiled as Sony Xperia XA3, XA3 Ultra, and Xperia L3. Today, new news shows that one of the phones, Xperia L3, has been certified by the FCC in the US and is expected to be released soon.

The FCC certification document shows that the diagonal length of the phone is 165.6 mm, which means that the display should be 5.73 inches (145.6 mm), which is quite close to the number 5.7-inch exposed by OnLeaks. A schematic diagram in the certification document depicts the outline of the phone. It can be said that this phone is still familiar with the Sony flavor: no notch, no full screen, huge chin, and the “thickness” of the top-bezel is quite massive. In addition, the right side of the fuselage layout seems to house all the physical buttons, the power button, fingerprint scanner, and volume button are all located on this side. The SIM card slot is set on the left side of the phone.
In October of this year, OnLeaks showed off the rendering of the phone on Twitter, which showed that the phone will adopt a rear dual-camera design. However, at a time when the full-screen display is a massive trend in the smartphone industry, these huge bezels will certainly not be appealing to many potential buyers.
I’m not a Sony fan, too expensive, poor value for money and I agree that they often have overly large chins and top bezels but to call this chin ‘massive’ is exaggeration.
Several years ago, Sony Ericson phones had pretty good value. I had Xperia X8, and it was the best phone I had. It was better than Samsung phone with same price. After 2 years, I bought Samsung phone, that was piece of cr@p.
I just picked up a XA2 for $179. I never buy this year’s new phone, so I dont have to pay the big markup
