As one of the most popular flagships equipping a Snapdragon 855 (at least in China), the iQOO phone has experienced the same production issues as the Xiaomi 9 in the initial stage of sale. However, Feng Yufei, vice president of the iQOO brand, today said that there no more supply problems and that demand is expected to be fulfilled very soon. At the same time, he also revealed that the more premium 8GB+128GB version will go on production.
Feng Yufei on Weibo “On the 16th, the whole network will once again sell iQOO (including 8+128). We urgently Adjusted the previous plan and increased the production. Thank you for your support. ”
At present, iQOO phones on sale include the versions with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for 2998 yuan ($450), 8GB+128GB variant for 3298 yuan ($500), the 8GB+256GB model for 3598 yuan ($540) and the 12GB+256GB version for 4298 yuan ($640).
Among them, the 8GB+128GB variant for 3298 yuan ($500) is probably the best band for the buck out there, with a very good specs to price ratio, on par with the Xiaomi Mi 9.
As far as specs go, the iQOO phone adopts a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with resolution of 2340×1080, screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and screen to body ratio of 91.7%. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship CPU. The 4000 mAh battery supports 44W super fast charge. According to the company, this smartphone can be charged to 50% in 15 minutes, 85% in 30 minutes, and full in 45 minutes!
