Redmi Note 7 launched into orbit, comes back with images of the Earth

Redmi Note 7 Pro

The Redmi Note 7 marketing campaign has seen the handset take a lot of beating and pummelling in various durability tests before release. But now, the company has just pulled off one more campaign to prove that the budget handset is “out of the world” good. And that’s by literally sending it out of the world. Yes, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun today posted a video of the process where three units were nestled to a gas balloon and launched into space.

The Note 7 units were fitted in a custom rig that was supposed to rise as high as 30 KM into the atmosphere with a temperature of -60 degree C. The 3D printed frame was designed to protect the handsets at that high altitude. But what do we readers get from all this?
