Even before the Redmi Note 8 launched outside the shore of China, there were already speculations there will be a T variant of the Note 8 series. While Xiaomi’s backed Redmi has yet to confirm that,  leaks have surfaced showing off renders of the said device: the Redmi Note 8T.

The device is seen alongside the Redmi Note 8 in the render, and from what we can see, there is striking similarities between both smartphones. Prominent there is the vertically aligned Quad-camera setup with an LED flash.  And beside that is a Fingerprint scanner.

This would suggest the rumored Redmi Note8T isn’t coming with any significant update – at least in terms of the outlook, though we are yet to see renders of the front view.

According to @Sudhanshu1414 – the source if the image, the Redmi Note 8 will hardly get any change upfront, as it is said to be the same device as the Redmi Note 8, but with just a minor upgrade. He revealed that the Note 8T will, in fact, get the same specs, and of course design as the Redmi Note 8. The only difference is that the new Note 8T will come with NFC support.

The device will bring on board a –  quad-rear camera setup comprising of a 48MP snapper supported by an 8MP super wide-angle.  There is a 2MP depth of field and 2MP super macro sensors. Upfront, this smartphone has a 13MP shooter for selfies and it supports AI beauty.

Redmi Note 8T launch date

No information relating to the launch date. However, we expect some bit of information in the coming day, assuming the device is actually underway. We’ll keep posted as more information, and updates trickle in.
