Huawei is all set to finally launch its second-gen smartwatch dubbed Huawei Watch GT 2 in the Indian market. The wearable was originally launched way back in September. We now have the exact launch information of the product. The smartwatch will see its official launch on December 5 which is right around the corner. Speaking of this date, Nokia is also planning to launch a smart TV on the same day. The launch date falls in line with the earlier report suggesting the product will head to India in December.
The Watch GT 2 will be available for purchase on both Amazon India and Flipkart e-commerce platforms. As of now, we don’t have any news on the pricing and availability of the product. In other regions, the watch comes with a price tag of $230. Guess, we’ll have to wait for the official unveiling itself for more information. The battery life is one of the strongest suits of this smartwatch.
Huawei has added numerous improvements to its current iteration of the smartwatch. To recall, Huawei Watch GT 2 packs Kirin A1 chipset inside the hood along with 4GB of onboard memory. This is the same chipset that powers the Huawei FreeBuds 3. The wearable will come in two different sizes – 42mm and 46mm. The former will come with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display (390×390 pixels) while the latter will feature a larger 1.39-inch AMOLED panel (454×454 pixels).
The smaller variant comes with 16MB RAM and 215mAh battery while the larger one packs 32MB RAM and 455mAh cell. It is water-resistant to up to 50m and comes with all the basic functionalities such as Bluetooth, GPS, and Bluetooth calling. It comes in three different color variants – Matte Black, Pebble Brown and Titanium Grey.
