Xiaomi Launches Haylou Smart Watch on YouPin Crowdfunding Platform

When it comes to the smartwatches, Xiaomi has already launched a plethora of options in its homeland i.e. China. The Chinese smartphone maker has now added another smartwatch to its portfolio. This time the company is targetting budget users with its Haylou smartwatch. Here is everything you need to know about it.

The company has launched the Xiaomi Haylou smartwatch on its crowdfunding platform called YouPin. The wearable is priced at 99.99 Yuan (roughly $14). After crowdfunding, the product will be sold for 119 Yuan (roughly $17). It comes in two different color options namely Black and Silver. As expected, the product is available only in China as a part of crowdfunding. We’re not expecting it to hit the global markets anytime soon.

Coming to the specifications, the Haylou watch features a square-shaped  1.3-inch colored LCD panel. The display has a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. Just like any other wearable, the strap can be swapped easily if you’re looking for a customized experience. The silicone strap measures 26.33mm wide. Speaking of dimensions, the watch itself measures 40.9 x 35.7 x 11.6 mm and weighs around 34 grams.

The wearable is both dust and waterproof to up to 1.5 meters for a maximum period of 30 minutes thanks to the IP68 rating. There are all the standard features such as heart rate sensor, activity tracker, sleep tracker, and 9 different sleep modes. Powered by 210 mAh battery packed inside, the watch can last to up to 14 days depending on the usage.

As per the listing, Xiaomi Haylou is compatible with both Android as well as iOS platforms. Although the minimum software requirements are Android 4.4 or iOS 9 or higher. Considering the asking price, the watch offers both the solid design as well as internal hardware. This makes it an exceptional value for money offerings from the brand.
