Honor 30 and 30 Pro Goes Official in China: Specs, Price and Availability


Huawei‘s sub-brand Honor has finally launched its much-awaited flagship devices namely Honor 30, 30 Pro and 30 Pro Plus. As the name suggests, the 30 lineup is the successor of the previous-gen Honor 20 offerings. Just like the 30 Pro+, the vanilla 30 and 30 Pro also brings premium offering at an aggressive price tag. Here is everything that you need to know about both the offerings.

Honor 30: Specs, Features, Price

The vanilla Honor 30 is equipped with a 6.53-inch OLED display panel offering Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display comes with a punch-hole cutout located on the top left corner housing a single selfie camera. Under the hood, the device runs on Kirin 985 5G chipset coupled with Mali-G77 GPU. The all-new SoC comes with Kirin ISP 5.0 that is supposed to bring flagship-level camera performance and advanced noise reduction.

In terms of optics, we’re looking at a quad-camera module with a 40MP primary sensor with an RYYB color filter. The module also contains an 8MP periscope module, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video calling, we’re looking at the 32MP front snapper. Backed by a 4,000mAh battery, the device supports 40W fast charging and runs on Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1.0 skin on top.

The smartphone comes in three storage variants – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB options. Just like the storage, we’re looking at three color options namely black, purple and green.

Honor 30 Pro: Specs, Features, Price

Honor 30

The pro variant of the device, on the other hand, features a slightly larger 6.57-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution. Unlike the regular offering, the display is equipped with a punch-hole cutout for dual selfie cameras. Powered by Kirin 990 5G SoC, the device comes with either 8/128GB or 12GB/256GB storage options.

The 30 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a triple camera module with the same primary and periscope sensor while the ultrawide sensor is now bumped up to 16MP. For selfie, we’re looking at a 32MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide unit. All of these are backed by a 4,000mAh battery with the support of 40W fast charging. The device runs on the Android 10 operating system with Magic UI 3.1.0 on top. The 30 Pro comes in four color options namely purple, black, silver and green.

Both Honor 30 and 30 Pro is already up for pre-booking while the official sales are scheduled to begin on April 21.
