Xiaomi continues to work on its future releases. Today, a new leak has emerged stating that the Chinese technology giant is working on two new high-end phones. It is noted in the post that both devices feature a curved screen and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The clues suggest that among them would be the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4.
Xiaomi works on the possible Mi MIX 4
The news first appeared through the Digital Chat Station leaker, through its official account on the Weibo social network. According to the post that shared the source of the leak, Xiaomi is currently working on two new flagship-grade phones. These have the code names of Apollo and Verthandi, which are names based on mythical characters. The devices in question are expected to have a high refresh rate of 120Hz on a screen whose edges will be noticeably curved. Although not specified in the post, hopefully, this display is AMOLED.
Reports suggest that the devices the leaker is talking about are part of the future Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 line. There is also the possibility that only one of them is a future Mi MIX 4. So far, the company has not yet officially released any announcements for this device line. In particular, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, had hinted during the Mi 10 Youth Edition launch conference that the company was already working on a new high-end smartphone.
Recently, a patent was leaked from the company that describes a phone with the front camera hidden under the screen in an invisible way. Taking into account that the MIX line has been the most innovative with uncommon design of the manufacturer, the future Mi MIX 4 would be the ideal candidate for the premiere of this technology.
In addition to the above, a new official account dedicated to the Mi MIX line was created recently on Weibo. This is a clear indication that the firm has close plans related to it.
The MIX Alpha has been the most recent in the series
The most recent launch within the MIX line was the impressive Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha. The concept phone amazed everyone with its rather unique design and technology. However, being a concept phone, there is no guarantee for its launch to the mass market. Still, various reports have suggested that Xiaomi will launch a similar phone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. These reports could have been pointing to the future Xiaomi Mi MIX 4.
