Redmi 10X

Earlier this month, reports about a new Redmi 5G smartphone started to pop out everywhere. This particular handset also made a visit to TENAA’s website later. According to the listing, the device would feature a 6.57-inch OLED display, 4,420mAh battery, and 48MP camera. Moreover, this particular handset would a sport the same design language found in the recently released Redmi Note 9 series. Now, it’s confirmed this device is the rumored Redmi 10X. The first device to reach the market with MediaTek’s Dimensity 820 SoC. According to Redmi, the new handset will be revealed in China on May 26.

This particular device is truly exciting since it can reach the market as the cheapest 5G smartphone. The MediaTek 820 SoC is a truly capable SoC featuring 4 big ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.6Ghz and 4 little ARM Cortex-A55 cores. The handset also boasts the capable ARM Mali G57 GPU. According to a post made by Xiaomi’s product manager, Wang Teng Thomas, the company has worked closely with MediaTek to customize the new chip. For that reason, the Redmi 10X will score over 410,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark. That score is out of the league of most mid-range devices available, but still, MediaTek states that this is a mid-range SoC.
