Redmi is flooding the market with new smartphones, leaving no price point behind. And today we have another Redmi smartphone launched silently, it is no other than the cheapest member of Redmi K30 (5G) series aka Redmi K30i 5G. The Redmi K30 5G series was unveiled in December last year with the major purpose being 5G connectivity at an affordable price tag. Hence, this is another option of affordable 5G connectivity from Xiaomi’s sub-brand. Let’s see what are the features & price of the Redmi K30i.
Xiaomi Redmi K30i 5G Specifications:
Redmi K30i takes most of the specifications and features from it’s the elder brother – Redmi K30 5G. The K30i sports a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel, with FHD+ resolution. The device also features a 120Hz refresh rate offering a buttery smooth experience. HDR10 and Gorilla Glass 5 protection are also some highlighting features from the display sector.
For 5G connectivity, Snapdragon 765G is powering the handset paired with 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB internal storage with UFS 2.1.
Redmi K30i & Redmi K30 5G Diffrence:
Now moving to the differentiating feature of K30i over K30 5G is the rear camera. There is a similar quad-camera setup on the Redmi K30i as well, but the primary sensor is down-graded while the remaining sensors are the same. K30i 5G comes with a 48-megapixel Sony lens. Whereas, the elder brother Redmi K30 5G features a 64-megapixel main lens. The other three lenses that are available on the K30i 5G are the same ones used on the K30 5G. Consisting of an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
For selfies, the pill-shaped notch is housing 20-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. A 4,500mAh battery is present supporting 30W fast charging. The phone comes out of the box with MIUI 11 based on Android 10. 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual-frequency GPS, USB-C, 1217 ultra-linear speaker, smart PA loudspeaker, Hi-Res audio support, and 3.5mm audio jack are some of more specs the handset carries.
Xiaomi Redmi K30i 5G Pricing:
The Redmi K30i 5G is priced at 1,899 Yuan (~$262) for the 6GB RAM & 128GB internal storage. This is only $18 less than the Redmi K30 5G that is priced for 1,999 Yuan (~$280). What do I think? Well, my thinking is that this phone is like a filler in movies. Anyways, 5G connectivity for a cheaper price here you go!
There are two color options listed on the retailer’s website including blue and white. Whereas, the official site also has other colors listed including purple and pink. The smartphone is up for pre-order while the sales will begin on 2nd June.
