Huawei, one of the Chinese technology manufacturers, is expected to release the Honor Play 4 Pro smartphone soon. The first live photo of this smartphone, which will be the first device to support 5G networks in the Honor Play family, has leaked to the internet.

The published photo shows the back panel of the smartphone. The image confirms that the device is equipped with a unit consisting of two cameras, as previously reported. Both the lenses and the LED flash are placed in a rectangular block covered with dark glass. Under the camera block, it is seen that there is also a round sensor that is interestingly similar to the LIDAR sensor.

There is no information yet on why this sensor can be used on Honor Play 4 Pro. However, it is likely to be used to create three-dimensional object models. Honor Play 4 Pro, which will be introduced on June 3, will come with artificial intelligence supported dual camera consisting of 40MP main sensor. The device has been spotted inĀ TENAA listing recently. Also, the official teasers shared by the company confirms that a Pro variant will come along with the original Play 4 on June 3.Ā The official posters shared by the product manager of Play series on Weibo says that the next Play series will comprise of two smartphones: the Honor Play 4 and the Play 4 Pro.

Further, reports fromĀ ITHomeĀ China say that the Pro variant could be powered by the flagship Kirin 990 SOC, along with an IR blaster. This will make the series a true successor of the Play series that launched in 2018. The original Honor Play rocked the Kirin 970 SoC which was a flagship SoC at the time.

The HonorPlay 4 Pro will also have a 40MP Sony IMX 600Y sensor, according to previous leaks. This is one of the dual cameras that are present on its rear. On the front, the device will have a dual punch-hole screen. However, the lower Honor Play 4 variant could come with a Dimensity 800 SoC on-board. Apart from this, the Play 4 Pro will also have 40W fast charging support.
