In recent times, there have been numerous speculations regarding the upcoming Apple iPhone 12 series. However, none of these speculations and listings come from official channels. Although we technically have confirmation on the existence of the iPhone 12 series, we now have it listed on the first official channel. According to previous reports, Apple will launch four iPhone 12 models this fall. The models include a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models, and a 6.7-inch model. A few days ago, the Dutch T-mobile official website took the lead in announcing the full name of the iPhone 12 series.
The relevant page information shows that this year’s four iPhone 12 series comes with the name: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max. This is the first time that an official operator channel is revealing the model name of the iPhone 12 series. Unfortunately, the Dutch T-mobile official website did not give any other information besides the names.
From the screen size point of view, iPhone 12 body is between iPhone 8 and iPhone SE 2 generation. As for the iPhone 12 Max, it is an upgrade of the iPhone 11. Furthermore, the iPhone 12 Pro series is an upgrade of the iPhone 11 series.
According to previous news, the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 is the entry model. The screen is smaller than today’s iPhone 11, and the rear has a dual-camera setup. This smartphone comes with a full-screen design. Due to this body design, the device will be more compact than the 4.7-inch iPhone SE.
From the speculations and leaks so far, the significant change in the iPhone 12 design is that it uses a straight edge frame, similar to the iPhone 4. Furthermore, the power button position moves down and the button is longer. However, the iPhone 12 series will continue to use the square camera module just like its predecessor. Among them, the two iPhone 12 series will come with a dual rear camera setup. However, the other two iPhone 12 Pro series will use a triple rear camera setup + a LiDAR lidar scanner.
According to the latest news, the two high-end models, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, will boast of a 120Hz high refresh rate display. This is the first time that an iPhone will use such a display to provide a smoother screen experience.
In terms of the selling price, speculations say that the iPhone 12 will start at $649 (iPhone 11 is $699). The highest price is $1099, which is cheaper than the iPhone 11 and the entry threshold is lower.
