Oppo PECM30 passes by Geekbench with Dimensity 720 SoC

Oppo PECM30

Oppo is among the most innovative smartphone makers in the current market. The company recently announced an appealing concept in the form of Oppo X 2021, however, it does not has plans for mass-producing it. At least not in the near future. For now, the company will focus on standard flagships and in filling the market with competitive 5G smartphones. Recently, the company launched the Oppo A72 5G in China with a PECM 10 model number. Apparently, the A-series is about to get a new member as a new device sporting PECM30 has been spotted on GeekBench. Meanwhile, a PECT30 handset appeared on TENAA certification. Together the model number PCEM30 and PECT 30 resembles the model number of Oppo A72 5G, so it probably will be a new variant for the affordable 5G family. Thanks to GeekBench, we know some of its key specifications.

The device passed by the GeekBench platform with the MediaTek MT6853 chipset. This, in fact, is marketed as Dimensity 720, a cost-effective 5G chipset made on the modern 7nm process that delivers 5G connectivity. The handset managed to score 512 points in the single-core tests and 1658 points in the multi-core department. Apart from the excellent budget 5G chipset, the phone also has 6GB of RAM and boots Android 10 OS. The software is a surprise as OPPO is currently working on Android 11-based ColorOS 11. Perhaps, the device will still come with Android 10.
