Black Shark is one of many companies that will release a Snapdragon 888 smartphone in the first half of this year. Yesterday, the company’s CEO, Luo Yuzhou, announced that the Black Shark 4 gaming phone is coming soon. He also revealed that this device will come with a 4500 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. According to the company, this device will get a full charge in less than 15 minutes. The latest information from Luo Yuzhou is the AnTuTu running score of the Black Shark 4. According to him, this device scores 788,505 points.
Luo Yuzhou said: “In order to have a more powerful performance for the new function, the engineers of Black Shark have been forced by me to be a bit miserable recently. Today I ran a point in the laboratory and it was less than 800,000. I have to work hard.”
Gizchina News of the week
Apparently, Luo Yuzhou is targetting 800,000 and the final device may as well hit this value. The current AnTuTu king is Xiaomi Mi 11 (SD888) with 708,425 points. However, smartphones like Oppo Find X3 (unreleased) and iQOO 7 score 771,491 and 752,935 respectively. These scores are way higher than the 735,439 benchmarks for Snapdragon 888 for AnTuTu. It appears that the Black Shark 4 will be the new AnTuTu king at launch
According to @DigitalChatStation, the Black Shark 4 uses an ultra-high-brush OLED screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080. The development codename of this device is “kaiser”.
More phones with SD 888 are on their way
At the Snapdragon Technology Summit held in Hawaii in December last year, Qualcomm officially released a new generation of flagship chip Snapdragon 888. At the technology summit, the American chipmaker also announced that almost all major OEMs will release a corresponding phone in the first half of 2021. Those companies include Asus, Black Shark, Lenovo, LG, Meizu, Motorola, Nubia, Realme, OnePlus, OPPO, Sharp, VIVO, Xiaomi, and ZTE. We recall this because this year Black Shark hasn’t launched a smartphone yet. So there is every reason to think the forthcoming Black Shark 4 will come with the Snapdragon 888.
Anyways, you all should agree that the selling point of the Black Shark 4 will be the Snapdragon 888. It uses 1 x 2.84GHz (ARM’s latest Cortex X1 core) + 3 x 2.4GHz (Cortex A78) + 4 x 1.8GHz (Cortex A55) architecture. Also, it integrates an Adreno 660 GPU and an X60 5G modem baseband. This SoC supports WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, etc.
