Samsung is undoubtedly the leader when it comes to foldable devices, after having launched the initial Fold a couple of years ago, and following it up with the Z Flip and Z Fold 2 and more recently the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3.
Foldable handsets have become increasingly abundant in the market, becoming a product that was once scarce to one that is now on offer in two or three different variants.
These vary from the standard book-like fold, or the flip, which is reminiscent of the flip phones of the past. LG and Microsoft’s dual-screen handset is also a take on foldable devices.
Recently, the Korean giant launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 across the world, with the pricing and availability for India having been revealed a couple of days later.
What set the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 apart was the presence of water resistance on both foldables, a first for consumer foldables, allowing for better protection on flagship-grade handsets.
A new report mentions that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, currently on offer in Phantom Black and Green Hues and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, on offer in Cream and Phantom Black will be launched in India with a new colour variant.
As per Ishan Agarwal, Samsung will be launching the 256GB variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in Phantom Silver, whilst the Z Flip 3 with 128GB of storage will be offered in a new Lavender hue.
This is in a bid to offer more options for the Indian variants of the two foldable handsets from the Korean giant.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is on offer in global markets in three different colours, namely Phantom Green, Phantom Black and Phantom Silver. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is on offer in three colours, namely Lavender, Cream and Phantom Black.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is on offer in two different storage variants, with the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage on offer for Rs 1,49,999 with the higher 512GB variant priced at Rs 1,57,999.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3’s base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage retails for Rs 84,999, with the 256GB variant priced at Rs 88,999.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is priced at Rs Rs 84,999 for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, whereas the 256GB variant is priced at Rs 88,999.
Both handsets will be up for pre-orders via Samsung’s official site and retail stores starting August 24 all the way till September 9. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 will go on sale starting September 10.
