MacBook Pro

The much-awaited Apple MacBook Pro is could launch sometime in October, if a recently surfaced report is anything to go by. Apple held its launch event last month, where the company unveiled iPhones and iPads. However, some customers have been restlessly waiting to get their hands on the new MacBook Pros. The word on the street is that the long-rumored MacBook Pros will pack a new Apple M1X Silicon.

According to SlashGear, this will enable the tech giant to extend its lead over MacBooks that currently pack Intel chips. Earlier this year, a report suggested that Apple is gearing up to launch new MacBook Pro models later this year. The new Apple MacBook Pro models with Apple M1X silicon were expected to hit the store shelves between September and November. Now, it appears that Apple will be taking the wraps off its hotly-anticipated MacBook Pro later this month.

Apple MacBook Pro Launch Timeline

Furthermore, the new M1X chip is likely to come in two variants featuring 10 CPU cores. Noted Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman claims that the Pro MacBooks will be unveiled in October. Aside from that, Gurman reiterated some of the previously surfaced speculations surrounding the custom Apple silicon. He went on to reveal that the M1X’s variants will have a 10-core CPU, eight out of which, will be high-performance cores. The remaining two cores will be high-efficiency cores, Gurman added. As far as the GPU is concerned, Gurman said that the two models will come with 16 and 32 cores. Furthermore, Apple could provide multiple new ports on the new machines. It is likely to bring back an HDMI port and the SD card slot.

Previously Surfaced Rumors

If earlier rumors prove to be true, the new Mac mini will also pack the new M1X chip under the hood. Regrettably, this machine is not likely to arrive in November. It is worth mentioning that Apple is still mum on its rumored launch event and on its new products. Nevertheless, some reports claim that the MacBook Pro will go on sale in a 14-inch and a 16-inch screen size. Moreover, the new MacBooks could support magnetic charging and come in a redesigned chassis.
