Iphone 18 owners are angry about crashes and paint issues

The new iPhone 18 Pro series is already facing some early user complaints. Reports from new owners include crashes and sudden reboots, with some cases linked to failed Face ID attempts. Other users have also reported issues with the phone's finish, including paint peeling from the frame.

Seoul Economic Daily says, some iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max owners have reported shutdowns during normal use. One user said the phone shut down while using Apple Pay. Another reported a reboot after Face ID failed shortly after setting up the device. In at least one case, Apple replaced the phone after the problem kept happening. Some users have also received refunds.

Some users have also said that the paint peels from the phone, this issue may not come as a complete surprise tho, months before launch, a Weibo leaker said that the iPhone 18 Pro would use the same aluminum alloy as the iPhone 17 Pro. That material had already been linked to chipping and fading on some color options after regular use.

At the same time, reports from early buyers are mixed. Many owners say their phones are working normally, with no crashes, overheating, or paint problems. Its fair to think that the complaints may simply be getting more attention online because they are unusual and weir, and people love drama.

Apple Korea has not issued a formal statement about the complaints. However, the company is reportedly looking into the reports. Paint peeling had been a problem for some tume now, after reports about the iPhone 17 Pro's frame.As we know the Iphone 17 pro had the same problem with the peeling.
