Redmi M100 Pro Could Bring Back a Highly Successful Model in China

Redmi may be preparing another M-series phone for China, and it could be a very familiar one. A new software database leak points to the Redmi M100 Pro, which appears to be linked to the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.

The connection comes from the phone's internal codename. Tipster Kacper Skrzypek spotted the Redmi M100 Pro alongside the Redmi Note 14 Pro under the "malachite" codename. That suggests the new phone could be a China-only rebrand of the older Redmi model.

Nothing has been officially announced yet, but the hardware could be very familiar if the leak is correct.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G launched internationally in 2025. It came with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display, a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It also used the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chip, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Xiaomi's official specifications confirm the 6.67-inch panel, 2712 × 1220 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The M100 Pro is expected to keep much of this hardware. That would make the new phone less of a brand-new model and more of a second life for an existing Redmi device.

I actually find this approach interesting. Redmi has already started using the M-series for rebranded hardware, so the M100 Pro would fit neatly into that strategy.

The camera setup could also remain unchanged. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G has a 200MP main camera with OIS, using a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/1.65 aperture. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.

There is also a 20MP selfie camera on the front. If the M100 Pro really is a direct rebrand, these cameras could make the jump to the new phone as well. For a device that may simply be getting a new name, that would make sense.

The battery specifications are also expected to stay familiar. The Redmi M100 Pro could use a 5,110mAh battery with 45W wired charging. The phone may also keep the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G's Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and IP68 rating.

HyperOS should handle the software side, although the exact version has not been confirmed yet.

Redmi has not announced the M100 Pro, so there is no confirmed launch date or price. The RAM and storage versions are also unknown, and we cannot assume that every specification will be identical to the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.

The software database listing is a strong clue, but it does not confirm the final retail product.

For me, the bigger question is why Redmi would bring back this particular hardware. The Note 14 Pro 5G is now an older platform, but a lower-cost China version under the M-series could still make sense if Redmi wants to fill a gap in its lineup.

For now, I would treat the Redmi M100 Pro as a possible rebrand, not a confirmed Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G revival. We should get a clearer picture once Redmi starts sharing official information. So stay tuned for more on this in the coming days.
