Vivo Y20T goes official with Snapdragon 662 and extended RAM feature

Vivo is well known for bringing premium camera-centric smartphones in the X-series and also hardware-appealing devices under iQOO branding. However, the company also has a lot to offer when it comes to the mid-range department made of modest devices with affordable prices. The company’s mid-range segment is usually composed of the V-series and the Y-series. The latter has cheaper devices with a modest set of specifications. Today, Vivo is introducing a new device for the Y-series in India dubbed Vivo Y20T. It’s a mid-range smartphone that brings the company’s iconic Extended RAM 2.0 feature. This feature was introduced with the premium X60 series and has been appearing in a couple of devices since then.

The Vivo Y20T flaunts a 6.51-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with a tall aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, it is paired with 6 GB of RAM. Moreover, the extended RAM 2.0 feature can add 1 GB of extra RAM for enhanced multitasking and gaming. This feature will take the 1 GB portion of your internal storage to work.

The smartphone has a waterdrop notch at the top of its LCD. Moreover, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button. Moving around to the rear, the Y20T packs a triple-camera setup. It packs a primary 13 MP camera that is joined by a 2 MP bokeh lens and a 2 MP macro lens. On the front department, there is an 8 MP camera for selfies and video calling. The front-facing snapper offers Aura Screen Light and Portrait Mode for bright, clear selfies.

In terms of connectivity, the phone comes with 4G with VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The Y20T draws powers from a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging. The company has claimed that the Vivo Y20T, using AI, can last for 20 hours while streaming HD videos and 8 hours of resource-intensive games on a full charge. The handset also supports reverse charging, so you quickly charge an accessory when needed.

In the software front, the Vivo Y20T runs Android 11 straight out of the box with Funtouch OS 11.1 on top. The company has a whole set of gaming features to enhance the experience. Namely, the device has Multi Turbo 5.0, Ultra Game Mode, Esports Mode, 4D Game Vibration, Game Picture-in-Picture, and other features.
